- Do not drive the nail in too deep. Leave at least 1 mm between the bottom of the nail-head and the surface fixed. The nails should be driven in 40 – 60 mm away from each other. The panels should move freely about in the horizontal position.
- The nail must be always driven in the middle of the slot. Attention! Do not drive the nail in at the end of the slot! Thus you will damage the siding panel irrevocably.
- Do not drive the nails into the visible part of the panel!
- Leave at least a 5-mm gap at all the junctions and stoppers at the end of the profile for proper expansion and contraction.
- Installing the horizontal panels, do not pull them up. Instead, press the lower side of the installed panel and pull it up till it is fully locked. The fixed panels should hang freely and unstrained. Panel strain in the upper direction will change the natural panel profile and increase lock friction.
- At shutter, holder and cable installation etc., the aperture in the panel should be 5 mm bigger than the drill diameter. This lets the panel expand and contract.
